The seven C’s of effective communication

7 C's of Communication

There are 7 C’s of effective communication are as follows:
1)      Correctness: 
The core of correctness is proper i.e  Grammar ,Punctuation and Spelling etc.
The term correctness applied to messages that means the following characteristics;    1Use the right level of language 2.  Check accuracy of figures, facts and words.

2)      Courtesy:
  True courtesy involves being aware not only of the perspectives of others, but also about their feelings ,Courtesy stems from a sincere you-attitude, Rather it is politeness that grows out of respect and concern for others . Be sincerely tactful, thoughtful and appreciative.
example:- Tactless, blunt: I did not understand any of it.
More tactful: It’s my understanding.

3)  Completeness:
The message is complete when it contains all the facts, readers or listeners need for the reaction you desire,complete messages are more likely to bring the desired results.
Provide all the necessary information along with that answer the 5 Ws and 1H that make the message clear. 1.Who 2What 3. When 4.Where 5.Why and 1How 

4)     Consideration:
Consideration means preparing every message with the message receiver in mind, Don’t lose your temper,Don’t accuse and  don’t charge them without facts. In Consideration:You are foremost aware of their desires, problems, circumstances, emotions and reaction to your thoughts.

5)    Concreteness:
 Communicating concretely means being specific, definite, and vivid rather than vague and general.Often it means using denotative rather than connotative words.
The following guidelines should be followed to compose concrete, convincing messages. •Use specific and figures. 1. Put action to words  2. Use vivid image building words 3.Use specific facts and figures.

6)  Clarity:
Getting the meaning from your head accurately to the reader is the purpose if clarity.
Remember:  Choose precise, concrete and familiar words, construct effective sentences and paragraphs,  choose precise, concrete and familiar words.

7)  Conciseness:
Conciseness means wordiness. Conciseness is a necessity for effective communication. Concise communication has following features:  Avoid wordy expressions, and Avoid unnecessary repetition etc.
