Report on Installation of virtualbox and Installation of two Linux based operating system on your virualbox

  1. First I download a virtualbox file from the site https://www.virtualbox.org/ and install on my pc then user interface of the software was in front of me in this form :

Then I install ubunto in virtual box through these steps :

1)   Ubunto 32 bit:
Ubuntu comes with everything you need to run your organisation, school, home or enterprise. All the essential applications, like an office suite, browsers, email and media apps come pre-installed and thousands more games and applications are available in the Ubuntu Software Centre
One of the great things about Ubuntu is that there are "flavors" based on alternative desktop environments. My favorite for example, is Ubuntu MATE. Others enjoy using Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME and Lubuntu.

For the ubunto installing I follow these steps

·         Open VirtualBox and select New . A new window will come out
·         Set name something like Ubuntu
  • Set memory f.e. 1024 MB.
  • Select Create new hard disk.
  • Select VDI then Next.
  • Select Dynamically allocated then Next
  • Set location(let it stay its default) and its size (f.e 20GB) then Next
  • Then Create
  • Then again Create
  • Here is two ways
    • Install from .iso
    • Install from DVD
  • Start VM
  • There select what kind of installation you want(from iso or from dvd)
  • then the installation will start
2) Samurai Web Security Framework :

Samurai Web Testing Framework is developed with the sole purpose of penetration testing on web in mind. Another difference is that it comes as a Virtual Machine, supported by Virtualbox & VMWare.
Samurai Web Testing Framework is based on Ubuntu and contains the best free and open source tools focusing on testing and attacking websites.

It also includes a pre-configured Wiki set up to store information during your penetration tests.
The Samurai Web Testing Framework is a live linux environment that has been pre-configured to function as a web pen-testing environment.

The framework contains multiple free and open source hacking tools for detecting vulnerabilities in websites. It’s often called the best operating system for Web Penetration Testing. In developing this environment, we have based our tool selection on the tools we use in our security practice. We have included the tools used in all four steps of a web pen-test.

After installing the samurai wtf then interface of VB will be :

Report On how Linux is different from Windows operating system:

1) First the main difference I felt  after using Linux is that ,
the Linux is  open source operating system for computers, laptops and mobiles etc we can do sharing and collaboration of code and features through forums etc
But Windows is a closed source software it is developed by Microsoft and we cannot share or change in code.

2) The second difference is that linux is cost free operating system and for windows the price starts from $50 to $450.

3) If I will face a problem the solution in linux take less time than windows because Windows OS takes 2 to 3 month for correction of reported threat and error.

4) The difference I feel is that graphics quality of linux is little bit lower than windows , I mean windows graphics are of better quality.

5) Linux kernel is developed by the community and windows kernel is developed by microsoft
